Earnest Earthy Exuberant Passionate. Dinner Ambiance Hanging Out. Eddie Harris. This Collectables reissue combines two Eddie Harris albums, Cool Sax, Warm Heart and Cool Sax From Hollywood to Broadway, originally released on Columbia in 1964. The suits at the record label were banking on Harris repeating the success of his hit single "Exodus," which had been released the previous year on Vee Jay Records. Unfortunately that wasn't the case and Columbia dropped his contract. Harris made the mistake of trying to appeal to a broad audience that was more interested in jazz as background music.
