Occupy This Album: 99 Songs for the 99 Percent is a four-disc compilation box set released in May 2012 through the record label Music for Occupy. The album concept, and initial production was initiated by Executive Producer Jason Samel. Jason Samel later recruited Producers Maegan Hayward, Alex Emanuel and Shirley Menard to assist with the project. The set consists of 99 songs inspired by or related to the Occupy movement.

With 78 tracks on the physical version and 99 on the digital version, Occupy This Album could very well be the largest compilation since the glory days of the Slap-A-Ham Records hhh compilations. Except instead of cramming countless power-violence greaseballs onto 7-inch records with hand-assembled packaging, the folks at Music For Occupy have a four-disc boxset and 99-track digital release of folk, hip-hop, indie rock and pretty much every other kind of alt-music under the sun to contend with, all with songs related to the Occupy movement and/or

The list of artists who contributed to the four-disc Occupy This Album, a sort of "soundtrack" to the Occupy Wall Street and 99% social movements, is pretty amazing, including tracks from Yoko Ono, Debbie Harry, Willie Nelson, Jackson Browne, Third Eye Blind, Toots & the Maytals, Yo La Tengo, and Devo, among many, many others. This diversity is the strength of the set, with rap, hip-hop, electronic, and indie rock nestled alongside more traditional folk song fare, but it also means that out of some 79 tracks (the digital MP3 download features 100 tracks), only some will resonate.

The album was inspired by the Occupy Wall Street movement. The theme of the album was to bring together 99 artists for the 99% from nearly every genre of music, of every generation, with as much of the world as possible represented, to perform socially conscious music that spoke truths to it’s audience far beyond the constraints of corporately controlled pop music. Music For Occupy has aptly dubbed this album as the beginning of a new era/genre of protest music called Movement Music. Movement Music encompasses all music that speaks truths of the world in which the majority of us live.

Occupy This Album: 99 Songs for the 99 Percent is a four-disc compilation box set released in May 2012 through the record label Music for Occupy and distribution company Razor & Tie. The album was initiated by Executive Producer of Occupy This Album, and Executive Director of Music For Occupy, Jason Samel. Proceeds from the album went "directly towards the needs of sustaining this growing movement

They should have proposals and ideas, and there doesn't have to be agreement on them. Yes, it is physically possible for me to do that; there's plenty going on in these 99 songs
