Skewbald/Grand Union, also known as 2 Songs, is the eponymous archival EP featuring the only studio recordings by American hardcore punk band Skewbald/Grand Union. Commonly known as simply Skewbald, Skewbald/Grand Union was a short-lived hardcore punk band from Washington, . founded by Ian MacKaye and Jeff Nelson, after their previous band, Minor Threat, broke up for their first time in September 1981. Their lineup was rounded out by guitarist Edward Janney and bassist John Falls.
Skewbald, Grand Union was formed in 1981 by Jeff Nelson and Ian MacKaye, both of Minor Threat, which had broken up in the fall of that year. The band was rounded out by their house mate Eddie Janney and friend John Falls. The group was originally called Grand Union. MacKaye later came across the work "skewbald" and wanted to make that the group's name, but Nelson insisted on Grand Union, a conflict that was never resolved. The band recorded a 3 song demo but never moved beyond the rehearsal stage and the project was disbanded when Minor Threat reformed in the spring of 1982.

A full grand union junction consists of 88 frogs (where one rail crosses another rail), and 32 switchpoints (point blades) if single-point switches are not used. Skewbald Skewbald/Grand Union was Ian MacKaye, Eddie Janney, John Falls, and Jeff Nelson. The band formed in 1981, after Lyle Preslar’s decision to go to college temporarily broke up Minor Threat. Jeff chose the name Grand Union for in honor of a nearby grocery store, but Ian preferred the word Skewbald.
