The party doesn't start 'til the sun goes down" That's when everything starts moving Everybody up when the sun goes down Ah, ah, ah The music isn't on 'til it's way too loud That's when everyone starts dancing Everybody shout when the sun goes down. Selena explained to Billboard magazine the record was named after it, because it goes perfectly with describing the whole album and the album artwork. Joey Clement, who is the bassist of The Scene as well as a member of the American band Midwest Kings, gave the song to Selena. Said the Wizards of Waverly Place star to Billboard magazine: It’s really special to my bass player, Joey, who wrote it.
Down, which also debuted at number one to the very healthy sales of over 550,000. Chesney had clearly filled a void, one left by the diminished presence of Garth Brooks - a singer who blurred the lines between '70s mainstream pop/rock and contemporary country, a singer who made adult-oriented music about everyday things. The tracks "There Goes My Life", "When the Sun Goes Down", "I Go Back", "The Woman with You", "Anything but Mine", and "Keg in the Closet" were all released as singles between 2004 and 2005. Respectively, they peaked at and on the "Billboard" Hot Country Songs charts. The title track, a duet with Uncle Kracker, is also Uncle Kracker's only country chart entry.
