Alt-rock concept album 'The Equation' tells an unusual story while blending hard-hitting overdriven guitar and bass with passages of haunting, psychedelic atmospheres. Genre: Rock: Modern Rock. The Equation was recorded and mixed over two months at Big Red Studio in Corbett, OR, unlikely home of Windam Hill recording artist and new age violinist, Billy Oskay, formerly of Nightnoise. The album was produced by local rock producer (and drummer) Jason Rieve using (almost) exclusively analog and vintage recording technique and gear, and mastered by local rock guru Sean Norton. Oxcart is comprised of: Jason ‘ the religious zealot’ Baker Ben ‘ the politician’ Carey Alex ‘ the Gambler’ Feletar Matt ‘ the overcompensatory businessman’ Jones.
