Say I Am You is the second album released by indie folk band The Weepies and their first full-length record. It was released on Nettwerk Records on March 7, 2006. Sing Out! described the album as "tuneful, quiet pop that borrows a thing or two from folk. The thirteen tracks were co-written by Deb Talan and Steve Tannen, who alternate between lead and harmony vocals in various tracks.

Album: We All Say. Genre: Indie Rock. Mail (will not be published) (required).

Similarly, 'Say I Am You' is akin to listening to one incredibly catchy folk-pop song on repeat for forty minutes; an album full of delightful and benign indie songs and nothing more. The Weepies are compromised solely of husband and wife duo Deb Talan and Steve Tannen, who essentially create perfect folk-pop music in it's purest form.

Being that the title of the record, Say I Am You, is a quote from 13th century writer Jelaluddin Rumi, known for his intense spiritual and passionate poems, it is not a surprise that the album is all about love. Sometimes the love is hidden or lost ("World Spins Madly On," for example), sometimes it's false, but mainly it's a love that has been gratefully found and cherished. And for the most part, the Weepies manage to discuss and explore this without falling into the trappings of typically saccharine infatuated musings.

Is it too late now to say sorry? Between Adele and Justin Bieber ’s respective pop mega-hits, music lately has been filled with apologies. But the regretful songwriter is far from a new trend. Throughout the years, hundreds of musicians have tried to say sorry for, more often than not, a romantic mistake. 3. Please Forgive Me (Song Of The Crow), William Fitzsimmons Soft-spoken folk troubadour William Fitzsimmons’ 2008 album The Sparrow and the Crow was heavily influenced by his divorce, so needless to say there’s a lot of remorse in it. On Please Forgive Me (Song Of The Crow), Fitzsimmons acknowledges his mistakes and destructive demons and asks to be forgiven.
