Weird Al" Yankovic is the debut album by American parodist Alfred "Weird Al" Yankovic. The album was the first of many produced by former The McCoys guitarist Rick Derringer. Mostly recorded in March 1982, the album was released by Rock 'n Roll Records as an LP and on Compact Cassette in 1983.

This 1993 set from Weird Al Yankovic collects previously-released, food-themed parodies onto one disc. It's a hokey, hilarious, and often ingenious set, including the classics "Eat It," "Fat," and "I Love Rocky Road". The album is perhaps a bit too filling, with also-rans like "The White Stuff" and "Addicted to Spuds" clogging up arteries here and there. Likewise, "Spam" seems like too predictable a target for one of music's greatest satirists. Nevertheless, The Food Album is an enjoyable bag of treats.

Records release "Weird Al Yankovic" Track 5 parody of "Stand". Published by Night Garden Music (BMI). From the Rock 'N' Roll Records/Scotti Bros. Published by Eighties Music (ASCAP). Records release "Weird Al Yankovic" Track 9 parody of "Rico Suave". Published by Louis St. Music/L. Toy Music (BMI), EMI April Music In. Mo'Ritmo (ASCAP).

Al is notorious for doing food-based parodies and finally in 1993 he graced us with the presence of this collective masterpiece - just don't try to masticate the disc. This album undoubtadly shows his skill in the field of edible music. I'm pretty excited about this so I'm just gonna go ahead and get started. The album begins appropriately with the classic Michael Jackson.
