East of the Sun is the second album by American jazz saxophonist Lin Halliday, which was recorded in 1991 and released on Delmark. He leads a quintet with trumpeter Ira Sullivan, pianist Jodie Christian, bassist Dennis Carroll and drummer George Fludas, the same lineup as his debut album Delayed Exposure.

Antoinette "Toni" Halliday (born 5 July 1965 in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear) is a British musician best known as the lead vocalist, lyricist, and occasional bassist of the band Curve. Concept and lyrics by Patryk Zwoliński except quotes from Edgar Allan Poe's "The Raven" in "a₃" and "The Masque of the Red Death" in "a₇bsence". Recorded at Custom34 Studio in Gdańsk, Poland and Studio73 in Ravenna, Italy. The artwork for the album contains a cryptex which can be deciphered using the track titles as clues; its solution yields the album's hidden title - "Phantoms".
