Isn’t This A Great Day For Singing?! Like The Wind: Songs of a Wondering Minstrel. My Country Is The World. The album is dedicated to nonagenarians Pete Seeger, Pham Duy (Vietnam’s Woody Guthrie), Tzena Tzena composer Issachar Miron, pioneering world citizen Garry Davis, Marie Durst (James’ mom) and Marvin Fennema (James’ high school choir director) all of whom Durst esteems as mentors. I’ve been extremely blessed for music to have been my ticket to the world over the past 35+ years. These songs that were at one time precious souvenirs of travel experiences, have become intimate friends and companions. James Durst is a world-class folksinger with a smooth, light voice. Internationally Unknown may not be quite true, as Durst has spent a lot of time entertaining in and with players from other countries around the world. A wonderful up-tempo Bengali song adds to the international theme on this CD. With a smooth, light and musically adept voice, Durst fills this CD with new words and arrangements of traditional works as well as a few by other writers. A Whaling Trilogy is told from the view of the whaler, the whaler’s wife and the whale, covering all the angles

Another Great Day For Singing!" employs digital technology to bring traditional songs to life. Duets with special guests 'Eb & Flo' (who bear a striking resemblance to Durst himself) make the songs "There's a Hole in the Bucket" and "Buffalo Boy" extra fun.
